Amy, I continue to love this analysis. Think Shiv also hiding pregnancy from Tom who would have a lot more leverage if he is the father of a Logan Roy grandchild.
I only watch the show through social media (lol) but I know a decent amount through that, and through yelling at my husband from another room "who said what" while he watches. So last night it occurred to me to say to my husband "if the ex wife (or did they not bother to divorce) comes back, let me know" and he said "oh, she showed up right away". Of course! Love that for her.
Absolutely pitch perfect analysis Amy. The fashion lens gives such a great insight into the characters' state of mind and (real and perceived) power rankings. On the basis that it bypasses the verbal level, which in Succession is often grandstanding, euphemistic or self-deluding, it might be the most honest lens we've got!
The fact that the show has married costume and character so thoughtfully is further proof of its standout quality.
