I think it was brave that Anna made this issue, because I was already worried about my situation here in Latvia and me as a fashion anything in between are ready to defend frontlines. We will have army trainings which are obligate for men and woman from age 18 to 27. Those republicans should be ashamed saying things which could destroy American created values like LGBTQ+ or legalization or good old weed!

I appreciate that they did this article and it’s what we need now. Putin is truly evil and he’s turned our world upside down with his greed and murdering. Who gives a damn what Republicans think? If they can’t get on board helping these people defeat Russia from taking their homeland then they are just as horrific. Bravo to Anna for sharing what we need to see.

Vogue has a long history of covering wars, extending back the world war era, even before the New Look. This story covers the surreal reality of the times, at least in Europe - a sense of self-actualization perhaps in an unforgiving setting. And it helps show that clothes do play a role. I liked the coat a lot, a telling reminder that in the winter this war will shift and so will things in Europe at an energy level. A changing Europe. Hello - Lee Miller and Man Ray, who basically invented mascara adverts one, and reported on the war for Vogue in the 1940's, the other. I think from afar the politisation of vogue is to continue making fashion seem frivolous and stamp the "look at how great they're doing sticker". I will give myself the flowers to say that in 20 years this story will be interesting journalism to look back upon, veering on the corporate look obscuring the drama. Showing that indeed, a man can tie a tie without making references to his sexual power. Or that a woman can be powerful, even at the side of her husband and pitch an idea for net safety without having to be ridiculed or be made less. Frankly, in a world economy where American innovation leads the way, I'm glad she wasn't made to look selfish or cheap. In other words, she doesn't have to look like a mess to ask for help. Maybe dada-ism and surrealism are back in?

Once again, thank you for your interesting and always thought provoking articles.

I was appalled by this shoot- appalled that First Lady Olena Zelenska - was seduced to do this shoot. On one hand one can argue that there is no need to be dowdy in war time and that fashion itself is a rebellious act against the enemy. But on the other hand......why did she circum to the charms of American Vogue? Was this a political moment- “you scratch my back, and I scratch your back”? There certainly will be a pushback, and rightly so!

The photo shoot is repulsive to those who have been brutalized by this war. The photo shoot has strayed from reality, and that is why it sickens.

I can only imagine and hope that Edward Enninful at British Vogue and Sofia Lucas at Vogue Portugal, would have done a very different shoot, more in keeping with the beat of our hearts.
