The "overheard at fashion week" section is hilarious

I find this very vapid, but valid for these times. It is as if these people are in some type of dystopian reality. They are dancing at the hottest disco, where elite people, or those in certain fields have access. Once they step outside there is a HUGE fire consuming everything in its path. But they are oblivious to their surroundings, they are going to the next show, event, photo op.

What strikes me the most is the lack of value. Like cotton candy, eventually you revolt and want real food. I think people want good value clothes. Whether it is jeans or evening wear. They want something that emanates safe, utilitarian, and a fun remark or sassy comment hidden on the inside of the garment, shoe, purse. Something individual to them, but silent in a group.
