Ugh, everyone should be required to work retail! I’ve wondered about the abuse that people would take with the Nordstrom return policy. I worked at a home goods store chain that is now closed and the return policy was similar. We would have home stagers come in and buy towels, bathroom sets, bedroom comforter sets, decorative pillows, etc and bring them back weeks and months later when they were no longer in stock and want money back, not to mention what the regular customers would try to return. It was very disheartening.

In a much brighter mood, Amy I love your writing and subjects and just preordered your Anna book, can’t wait to read it

Nordstrom is my favorite Department store. In fact, years ago, the Nordy's return policy was an integral part of my corporate training classes on Building Brand Loyalty. After years in Upscale Hotels, I know the type of clientele these interviewees were describing, as they leave Nordstrom and wreak havoc on my work team next. Another great post, Amy!

I love Nordstrom too, but I find it off-putting to have sales associates follow me around, some of them attempting to do so in a surreptitious manner. I really hate feeling harassed when I shop!
