I think it's all about execution, the Barbie movie doing dress-up was great because, well, it's a movie about a dress-up doll. Zendaya also keeps has some fun, unexpected takes and has the fashion-model bearing to pull it off as a sort of editorial take on movie visuals.
This kind of literal, colour-blind (I am subcontinental, we know our colours and this is not it) dressing though? And being hailed as a style icon for it? Byeeeeee.
When Vogue picks their girls they really pick them for life. I get it, she has an adaptation of a hit book coming out and Anna loves her but the high concept cover and the article trying to convince us she’s the last movie star is a bit much for someone with her resume.
Theme dressing has become too literal. I don’t want to see celebrities cosplaying on the red carpet. I want to see high fashion styled creatively or beautifully.
It does kinda feel like they’re trying to turn IEWU and Deadpool into the Ryan and Blake version of Barbenhiemer. Hugh Jackman being so involved with promo for a movie he has nothing to do with is very odd.
I like Blake Lively and yet, I have never understood her style. I don’t like or dislike it — it often comes down to the outfit. Just truly do not understand it because the range is soooooo vast. Often I feel like she could be five different people.
With fashion and movies mixing together it seems like no one, and I mean no has any idea about the past present or future of fashion. Add a movie star, singer, artist into the mix and it becomes less of a statement and more like throwing things on the social media boards to see what sticks.Barbie, never took off… now they are talking Taylor Swift and Blake Lively. I kind of wonder about the September Vogue, it will be all ads, because no one has any vision, initiative to do anything but riff on one another.
This press tour has been fun to follow because of the intimate, behind the scenes look she provides on instagram which most stars don't do. Press tours seem to always include looks that push the envelope, stylist or not.
Every time a new film is on the horizon, I dread the Method Press Tour looks. It’s just so predictable!

....the September cover? Her??
what year is it again and why is Anna so determined to keep pretending Blake Lively is still relevant?
I get it she has a movie out now but can the kind of audience she's flogging shampoo to name a single movie she's been in before?
The shark movie!
The shallows
Next she’ll promote a fragrance, “Inescapable.”
Ok I love her but that is funny. I did notice she didn’t mention Gucci premiere when asked her favorite fragrances recently.

Since Barbie, the whole movie-theme dressing thing is getting out of hand. Celebrities, stop it right now.

Just looking at that leather makes me feel sweaty....
I just don’t think her ‘style’ is all that great. I do like the Britney dress, though.
Buy... a weather radio to protect against naders?
